I myself have only played Resident Evil 4 once. Long, long ago I used to play Resident Evil 3, but I know how much the genre has changed since then and I also realize just how much better Resident Evil 4 is than all of the others.
As good as the forth game was, the fifth is definitely looking to be a step up. Capcom seems to be doing some very innovated things with the new feature of Co-op in the game and it looks like working together is going to be a tremendous part of the game. From the looks of it were going to be seeing plenty of new gruesome boss battles, that we have learned to love from the series in the past.
Along with new bosses, the game includes some new enemies as well, such as the zombie bikers, along with some returning enemies, like the miniature dinosaur bird things and of course, hoards and hoards of zombies. Not only are the enemies looking to be good, the graphics are absolutely gorgeous as well. Everytime I watch the trailer I feel like I’m watching a movie on the big screen. The blood, the lighting, the explosions, just everything about it is done with perfection (or pretty damn close), the graphics, without question, live up to their Next Gen name.
To sum things up for you, I think Resident Evil 5 is going to be a revolution in the series. Between the new Co-op feature, the new enemies, and the unbelievable graphics the game offers, it is sure to be a bigger hit than the last one. Who knows what Capcom is going to do in the future, the zombies are getting smarter every game. Before, the zombies could barely walk at all, now they’re driving motor cycles and cars, holding weapons of all sorts, and conjuring up some of the sickest, most brutal enemies ever to be in a game. This game is sure to be a success, even if your not a fan of the series you should still give it a try, Resident Evil 5 will be released on March 13, 2009.
