E3 08: Fallout 3 Impressions

As I watch the Fallout 3 Trailer, I cant help but laugh. The beginning of the trailer is completely pointless and un-needed, but damn is it funny. Now, I’ve never played either of the original Fallouts, but I’m definitely going to have to give this one a try.

The gameplay of Fallout looks like it would be many people busy for hours and hours. At first glance it looks like basic shooter game, but theres more to it than just that. A nice feature in the game is that you can choose what body part you would like to hit on your enemy, once you choose the part you would like to hit it will then tell you how likely you are to hit the targeted area. Another cool feature they’ve put in is that you need to find food and water to survive. Hopefully this will run smoothly when playing the game and not get in the way.

The graphics are looking pretty damn good in my opinion, along with the physics. The explosions look nice, along with the city your in. In all truthfulness the game looks like its going to be a gigantic bloody mess, but that’s not a bad thing in my opinion. The physics seem to be believable, and I hope that they are. Not like in some games when you shoot an enemy and they go flying off the screen, their head between there legs. From the looks of it, as you shoot your enemy, the body parts you shoot will break off of there body, which I for one find absolutely hilarious.

The game is also looking to have plenty of weapons to choose from, laser gun, rocket launcher, sniper rifle, and grenades, just to name a few. There also looks like there’s going to be plenty of enemies to fight, and lets hope a few cool bosses.

To wrap things up, Fallout 3 is looking to be a great game. Some cool features of the game are that you can choose individual body parts to shoot at, and that you need to food and water to survive, just like real life. The graphics of this game are very good, and the physics look realistic and not blown out of porportion. The game seems to have plenty of weapons in its arsonal, along with plenty of enemies (and hopefully some bosses) to shoot up. We’ll give you the full review when the game is released this Fall.
